Student Accommodation
The CROUS of Bordeaux (French student welfare organization of Bordeaux)offer places in university accommodations. There are around twenty university accommodations in Bordeaux.
The monthly rate range from the type of accommodation you choose. For instance, the monthly rate for an individual room is around 140€.
Notice that, when allocating accommodations, the CROUS gives priority to student whose parents have low incomes and overseas students who are new at Bordeaux. Every year, at the beginning of the academic year year, the Université de Bordeaux organizes accommodation and jobs dating.
private landlord
For student willing to live in a private accommodation, the CROUS post adds on its website. Monthly rate for an individual flat starts from 300€.
Accommodation bursary
In France, student could ask for accommodation bursary from its region’s CAF –Caisse des allocations familiales (French Social Security Office).
Bursary is given according to the student parents’ incomes and also depends on the type of accommodation and its monthly rate.
